Certification of rope access and fall protection companies

SOFT Certification certifies companies for rope access and fall protection.

There are 3 standards SSE certifies according to:

NS 9600 – 4 Access technology – Requirements for training businesses
NS 9600 – 5 Access technology – Requirements for implementing companies
NS 9610 Fall protection – Work at height – Training and implementation

The standards are owned by Standard Norge and can be purchased at standard.no . They have been prepared by the standardization committee SN/K 279 Work at height. The committee has consisted of representatives from authorities, trade associations, suppliers, lessors, users, training companies and certification bodies.

Before applying for certification
Before the course company applies for certification, it is important that you check that you have everything in place that is necessary to meet the requirements of the current standard. In order to have a good process that does not drag on over time, it is important that the company sets aside enough resources to carry out the certification process. The better prepared the company is, the less expensive the certification will be.

The certification process:

Application for certification
Businesses that wish to be certified must apply for certification. There is one application form per certification. The application forms can be downloaded here:

NS 9610 course company fall protection

Completed application form with associated documentation is sent to post@ttsoft.no .

It is important that all requirements in the application are documented and attached to the application. If there are deficiencies, the application may be rejected and the company must reapply.

Businesses applying for certification must familiarize themselves with procedure "SSE-P106 Company Certification". This is available in CertaSoft or by contacting SSE.

The contract
Once the application has been approved, a certification contract is entered into between the company and SSE. The contract describes prices, responsibilities and terms for the certification.

Document review
Based on the documentation submitted with the application, SSE conducts a document review. This is an audit that SSE conducts without the company being present.

Auditing
Once the document review has been completed, an audit is carried out at the company. When nonconformities in connection with the audit are closed, the company is certified.

Certificate
Certified companies are issued a certificate valid for 3 years.

Follow-up of the certificate
During the certificate's validity period, a minimum of 1 audit is required.

Follow-up of certificate
During the certificate's validity period, there is a requirement for a minimum of 2 follow-up audits for NS 9600 certifications and 1 follow-up audit for NS 9610.

Other*: Billed by time spent
Annual certificate fee: NOK 10,000,- excluding VAT.
