Course in access technology

To participate in a course in access technology (NS 9600), you must first apply for admission by contacting one of the certified course companies. The course company checks whether you meet the admission requirements for the course in question and carries out the training. Any hours for admission must have been earned within the last 5 years.

All course participants must have undergone a health check by a doctor and have a health certificate before the course. The health certificate must not be older than 3 years. "Offshore health certificate" and "SSE health certificate"(Download health certificate) are valid health certificates for access technology. Other health certificates issued by a doctor may also be used.

The courses are based on both theoretical and practical training, with the main emphasis on practical training. After the last day of the course, a theoretical and practical examination is carried out (both the theoretical and the practical examination must be passed). After the examination, a document review is carried out to ensure that all requirements have been met before the certificate is issued.

The courses are physically demanding and good general physical fitness, strength and coordination are a prerequisite for completing the course.

To become certified, you must pay a certificate fee of NOK 7,000 excluding VAT. This fee is part of the course price.

Person certification is divided into 4 levels:

  • Level 1
  • Level 2
  • Level 3 (security manager trainee optional)
  • Fuse conductor
